A hardware team needed a high-speed, low-volume, low-weight USB 3.0 cable solution — thin enough to fit where a standard USB cable simply wouldn't.
We selected and tested special ultra-thin coaxial cables down to 0.3mm diameter, then backed the connector with our own hardware design consultancy: custom PCB adapters and throughput testing to prove the solution actually performed at USB 3 speeds.

Challenge
The client needed a high-speed USB 3.0 cable solution that was both low-volume and low-weight — standard USB cabling was too bulky for the application.

Cable selection and test
We sourced and tested special ultra-thin coaxial cables, down to 0.3mm in diameter, screening for the signal integrity a USB 3 link actually needs at that scale.

Hardware design and validation
On top of the cable selection, we provided hardware design consultancy and built custom PCB adapters, then ran throughput tests to validate real-world performance.
