Confidential client — A pressurised housing for a medical sensor

A medical device company had a working electronic proof of concept, but no physical enclosure — and their sensor needed a housing that was both functional and an air-tight pressurised vessel, to keep measurements accurate.

We designed a functional housing around the sensor, iterating over 20 design versions in just two weeks using 3D printing, to reach the performance the measurement required.

Project stages

  1. 01

    Challenge

The client already had an electronic proof of concept, but no physical enclosure. The housing had to integrate a sensor and an air-tight pressurised vessel to keep measurements accurate.

  2. 02

    Fast iteration

We designed and tested over 20 design iterations in just two weeks, using 3D printing to move fast between versions and reach the required performance.

The sensor assembly, tested for accuracy across design iterations.
